Careers Resources for Students and Parents

Text

The resources below can help students and their parents to start thinking about careers. They cover topics such as choosing a career and different routes into the world of work, as well as providing detailed information on specific careers. They can also help students make decisions about the next steps in their education, such as A level or degree subject choices, whether or not they’ve decided on a career.

  • Evaluating our Impact

Richard Challoner School is committed to providing a high-quality, high-impact careers programme that prepares all students for successful future transitions. We continually measure and assess the impact of our careers provision on pupils using the Gatsby Benchmarks framework via regular Compass+ evaluations. We do this on a termly basis.

Furthermore, we systematically track and analyse our annual student destination data to measure long-term success. The day-to-day effectiveness of our programme is monitored through feedback surveys collected directly from students, parents, teachers, and visiting employers after key career encounters, mock interviews, and work experience placements.

We use these collective insights to review, refine, and improve our careers curriculum year-on-year.
